Star Trek – Into Darkness with ILM’s VFX supervisor Roger Guyett at VIEW Conference 2013
VIEW Conference is the premiere international event in Italy on Computer Graphics, Interactive Techniques, Digital Cinema, 2D/3D Animation, Gaming and VFX.
VIEW 2013, from 15th to 18th October in Torino, will continue to focus on exploring the increasingly fluid boundary between real and digital worlds. Through lectures, meetings, tributes, exhibits, screenings and demo presentations VIEW will reveal the new digital frontier sweeping from cinema to architecture, from automotive design to advertisement, from medicine to videogames.
I write to you to announce that this year Roger Guyett, ILM’s visual effects supervisor will present at VIEW Conference his last work with J.J. Abrams’ blockbuster re-imagining of the legendary Star Trek franchise, Star Trek – Into Darkness. For this effort, Guyett again received Oscar and BAFTA nominations as well as a VES nomination for Best Visual Effects in a Visual Effects Driven Feature.
In 2009, Guyett was named to the PGA ‘Digital 25: Visionaries, Innovators and Producers List’ by the Producer’s Guild of America which honors those who have made the most vibrant and exciting contributions to the advancement of digital entertainment and storytelling.
VIEW Conference will also speak CG master like John Knoll (Industrial Light & Magic’s new Chief Creative Officer), Erik Nash (VFX Supervisor Iron Man 3, Sandra Karpman (Camera Motion for Pixar’s Monster University) and many others..
